Capitol Broadcasting Company

Capitol Broadcasting Company (CBC) is a media company located off of Western Blvd. in Downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. CBC owns three television stations and nine radio stations in the Raleigh-Durham and Wilmington areas of North Carolina. They are also the owners of the Durham Bulls minor league baseball team. Capitol Broadcasting Company has four hives at their rooftop apiary, which has been fondly dubbed "Hive Five". Yearning to educate the community about honeybee health, CBC sponsored a fifth hive  displayed for the public, which is located in the WRAL Azalea Gardens on the campus. The CBC horticulture team has created a completely bee friendly campus, ensuring that their newest employees have ample and healthy forage available to them year round. Genuine public service is also at the heart of what CBC does. In the past, multiple divisions within the company have gathered coats for children in need, raised money for victims of natural disaster and brought music to those who might not otherwise have experienced it.
